The "Asus Zenfone Max" was announced last August and is now available in India for pre order. Online retailers have already listed the "Zenfone Max" with a price tag that could be converted to $150. The release date in the said country is listed as January 15 in Amazon.
The phone may be a midrange one, but the specs are overly satisfying for its price. Although it just carries a chipset of Snapdragon 410 SoC with a 1.2 GHz quadcore processor, the device comes with a large 5000 mAh battery. That is a really massive battery capacity for a smartphone, making it the ultimate buddy for anyone who do not have a lot of time to waste on charging. The phone's RAM is averagely sized with 2 GB and its memory is expandable from 16 GB, but the resolution may not be too satisfactory for a 5.5 inch screen as its resolution is only 720p. For a screen size this big, the resolution should at least be 1080p. But since it's an affordable phone with a 5000 mAh battery to compensate the display, it is quite hard to complain.
For the camera part, the "Asus Zenfone Max" does not disappoint as well, as it also comes with a 13 MP back camera and a 5 MP front snapper. The phone runs Android Lollipop 5.0 from the box with Zen UI 2.0 on top of it.
