The new and great things that 2016 brings will probably make our lives big and special, yet for the royal family that has so much to look forward to this year surely has an even bigger, extra-special 2016.
People features big happenings that Prince William's family will enjoy, making them face 2016 with a bang.
On Jan. 9, Saturday, Duchess Kate will be celebrating her 34th birthday while her prince husband prepares for his prince son's big day. Well, both of them are busy for their Prince George's first step in another kingdom - school.
Everyone in the royal house is excited for their two-year-old prince to explore the nursery school and see the world beyond their palace. Prince George enrolled in Westacre Montesorry School in East Walton. The royal parents and her majesty, Queen Elizabeth have nothing to worry about this little prince out of their mansion since the nursery school is just a short drive from Amner Hall, their grand country mansion.
Looks like each one in the royal family has his and her own big day as the baby princess, Princess Charlotte, will also turn one on May 2.
While these special occasions make everyone in the royal house happy, Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday on April 21 calls for the entire world's celebration. The queen's natal day will be celebrated in a more formal way on June 10-12 which includes trooping the color, a church service, and a massive street party that will surely fill up the entire outdoor avenue, the Mall in London. Ain't that extra-special?
We can recall how happy Queen Elizabeth and family was on welcoming another baby in their royal family as what the Queen shared during her address on Dec. 25. She also had expressed in her speech last Sept. 2015 how satisfied and thankful she was to have become British history's longest-reigning monarch.
"Inevitably, a long life can pass by many milestones; my own is no exception," the Queen said.
Moreover, the royal couple embarks on a big travel happening this year as well, as part of their social corporate responsibility as prince and princess. William and Kate will visit India in the spring of 2016, as part of their first joint foreign tour which started since Dec. 2013 with New York City as their first stop.
