Janet Jackson News: Singer Cancels 2016 Unbreakable Tour For Serious Health Reasons

Janet Jackson has cancelled her 2016 Unbreakable World Tour because of a life-and-death health crisis! The Grammy Award-winning singer has announced that she is set to undergo surgery to remove a tumor that could be cancerous, a Radar Online report said.

An insider told Radar that "Doctors found a growth on Janet's vocal cords that could be serious." She said "It's a medical condition that has to be taken cared of immediately."

It was the "Control" singer who announced that she would not be able to make it on her January 9 schedule.

"Hey you guys... Happy Holidays to each and every one of you! I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon."

She heartbreakingly announced, "It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring," she said. "Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time... There will be no further comment."

Reports said that the growth in the "Rhythm Nation" singer's throat proves to be cancerous and may even be responsible for the end of her career. Dr. Stuart Fischer told Radar that if this growth would be cancerous then the singer may not be able to perform ever again.

Cancer of the larynx needs immediate removal of the larynx and replacing it with an artificial voice box. This will allow the person to speak. Dr. Fischer also said that singing would be impossible. Radiation therapy would follow after surgery.

Janet has taken a medical break from her tour before. Her concert dates for October 2015 were put on hold so she could take a rest.

The source also explained, "Janet said she knows that with prayers and her will, she'll be back out on the road in the spring or early summer."
