Supercell Releases 'Clash Royale' While 'Clash of Clans' Still Problematic

In a previous report, "Clash of Clans" developer Supercell has suffered major backlash after the failed Town Hall 11 Update. The developer then released a subsequent patch to fix the bugs that caused the nuances of the new "Personal Break System" and the "Village Guard." Yet the same problems are still persistent even after the second update, many fans asked Supercell revert the changes if they could fix it.

In a more recent news it appears that in the face of a failed "Town Hall 11 Update," it was eager to release another game, a spinoff to the currently problematic "Clash of Clans." According to Gadgets, Supercell has just released "Clash Royale," which is a card battling and collection game set in the Clash Battlefields. Moreover, it is said to have brought Clash of Clans troops, arenas, and trophies in a one-on-one gameplay similar to "Hearthstone" with some added twist.

At the moment, "Clash Royale" is at a soft launch state and currently available for iOS in Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, and New Zealand only. According the FAQ the developer has explained that "Several founding members of Clash Royale are also past members of the Clash of Clans game team. However, there are currently no developers working on both Clash Royale and Clash of Clans. We plan to keep these teams separate going forward."

With that said, how is "Clash of Clans" currently doing? It appears that it could still be in chaos. According to Design and Trend, many players have expressed their disappointment with how loot farming has become more difficult with the new game play system. At the moment, SuperCell remains silent regarding the "Clash of Clans."

Whatever plans Supercell has for "Clash of Clans," the developer has not made any intention of making public just yet. Hopefully they are doing something about it and lets fans can take comfort that the teams working on the new game are separate from "Clash of Clans," otherwise there might be a "Clash" of priorities.
