Just a week after that the 37-year-old Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and 24-year-old Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence had reportedly split, news of a possible reconciliation between Martin and his other famous ex, 42-year-old actress Gwyneth Paltrow, started circulating.
Rumors sparked when the two were seen looking very cozy at the recent amFAR Gala in Hollywood wherein Paltrow even affectionally referred to her ex as "father of the year" when she introduced him for a "surprise performance" at the event as the actress asked Martin to sing two songs at the event.
"This brilliant singer-songwriter has sold eight million records," said Paltrow at the amFAR event, "He has won every single award that there is to be won, especially Father of the Year, which he has won consecutively since 2004. I am speaking of Chris Martin and the incredibly talented Jonny Buckland, who together make up one-half of the legendary band Coldplay."
According to Hollywood Life, the two were being "extremely flirty" with one another and were acting more like a couple rather than a pair of exes. While Paltrow was heavily flirting with Martin, the latter was totally adoring. Paltrow didn't even bring a date for the event, Martin was actually her date.
While the famous couple announced their "conscious uncoupling" last March, Paltrow and Martin always remained close. And now that Martin has ended his short-lived romance with Lawrence, the former is believed to be quietly getting back together with Paltrow whom he has two children, 10-year-old daughter Apple and 9-year-old son Moses.
Their children has always remained to be the couple's priority as the family were often spotted doing things together just like any normal family. In fact, while Lawrence was seen attending a Halloween party hosted by Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Martin was seen accompanying his kids and Paltrow in Malibu where they went trick or treating. It was also for this reason that Lawrence and Martin split as the actress felt that the latter wasn't over his ex and spent a lot of time with his family. Lawrence simply didn't want the pressure of competing with Martin's ex, Paltrow for his affections.
According to a source, "Their priority is to make sure their children remain happy and secure so they have been spending an enormous amount of time together." The family still has breakfast together and Martin hates not being able to live in the same house as his kids.
"Despite being very different beasts, Chris and Gwyneth adore one another. I suppose it's a case of they can't live without one another." adds the source.
Lawrence was seen dropping by Martin's home his Malibu to collect her things.
