Celebrity Homes: Classic Meets Quirky at British Artist and Interior Decorator Luke Edward Hall's Home

British artist and designer Luke Edward Hall has made his own name in the interior design industry. The 26-year-old designer had long cultivated his love for the arts even before he graduated from Central Saint Martin studying menswear fashion design. In his teen years, he used to distribute shirts to local shops, and these were his own designs. He also ran an online antique shop together with his friends from 2011 to 2013. He apprenticed under interior designer Ben Pentreath for two years, then he set up his own studio last year.

In a Vogue write up, the young artist shares his love for what he does. He says, "I've always wanted to do lots of different things in the design world. I know how I want things to look and that's not just limited to one discipline."

Hall's diverse aesthetic taste comes from his love for vintage and antiques, as well his travels. His original take on interior design has earned him gigs for Paker Pal Springs, and he is also currently working on designing a Georgian country house in Kent. His style is as vibrant as his personality. He shares, "People are being braver with pattern and brighter colors. And that's what I'm all about."

These colors and patterns are reflected in his own London flat. Bright mustard and blues are very much present in their sitting room where he says his partner sits while working from home. Just above their study is a sheld overflowing with books.

Collecting notable pieces ia something the Hall enjoys in general. As an accent in their sitting room, several framed butterflies hung beautifully. He actually collected these from eBay through the years. He mixes this collection with classic furniture like his table made in mahogany.

He gets some of his furniture from Ebury Trading like his dining table that is topped with marble, as well as his bedside table made from brass.

The young designer enjoys mixing classics with quirkier pieces to arrive at the whimsical style that the interior design world is now beginning to embrace.
