Angelina Jolie Movie News: Actress Open to Career in Politics

Hollywood A-List celebrity Angelina Jolie has revealed details about her recent wedding, marriage and the fact that she is "open" to pursuing a career in politics.

During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the "Maleficent" actress discussed what her life has been like since her secret wedding to long-time partner Brad Pitt, 50, in August of this year.

"It does feel different," said the 39-year-old. "It feels nice to be husband and wife."

Jolie added that the vows they said were written the pair's kids. "They did not expect us never to fight, but they made us promise to always say sorry if we do. So they said, 'Do you?' and we said, 'We do!' "

Moving from the topic of her personal life, the Academy award winning actress has been active in humanitarian aid and explained: "When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered." The newly-wed continued: "Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility." However, there is no set plan as she indicates it's all uncertain as of now.

"But I honestly don't know in what role I would be more useful-I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible."

When asked directly if she can imagine herself pursuing a life in politics, diplomacy, or public service, Jolie responds with, "I am open."

It was only last month when the "Girl Interrupted" star was made an honorary dame by the Queen for her extensive work in fighting sexual violence, noted The Telegraph. This honor has made the Hollywood icon the first American woman recognized by the Queen during her annual birthday honors.

Jolie, who is a mother of 6 children -- Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, Knox and Vivienne, 6 -- some of which are adopted, has been dedicated to her role as a special envoy to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). She was appointed to the position in 2012 following her exemplary service to UNHCR and the cause of refugee as a Goodwill Ambassador.

Presently, The Huffington Post notes that Jolie is hard at work on her second directorial project, "Unbroken" due out in December.
