The premiere episode of the series started with a strong 6.9 million viewers. However, due to a plot that has become too familiar to the audience, ratings gradually decreased and only managed to hit 1.1 million viewers when the show reached the 9th episode of the series. Show creator Tim Kring, on the other hand, is very optimistic that a second season will happen for the "Heroes Reborn" series.
Meanwhile, episode 11 of Season 1 of the series reveals a determined Tommy ready to go back in time to rescue his grandfather Noah. However, his actions may pose a threat in altering both the present and the past that may remove the powers the present day heroes possess.
Christian Today says that the series has been very promising and even premiered its teaser during the 2015 Super Bowl. However, even with the positivity of Kring, NBC might play the ratings game for the series in the end.
