'Samsung Galaxy A9' News, Release, Price: New Samsung Phone Released With $490 Tag In China

The "Samsung Galaxy A9" has been launched in China last month and as per recent report, the device is now available in the country. Currently, "Samsung Galaxy A9" is listed on Samsung's Chinese site with a price tag that is equal to $490 when converted. If you remember past rumors, it was also said that the "Samsung Galaxy A9" will cost $490 in China. It turns out that the price rumor is true.

As per the listing, the Samsung device has three color variants that include silver, gold, and pink. But as of lately, the gold variant is still out of stock. US launch is also happening soon and the phone's international launch may happen during the 2016 CES event

"Samsung Galaxy A9" Specs

As for the "Samsung Galaxy A9" specs, the device is 6.37 x 3.19 x 0.29 inches in size and is built with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 back panel. It has an optional dual sim functionality and it uses a Nano sim. For the display, "Samsung Galaxy A9" has a 6 inch screen with Super AMOLED display and 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. The screen to body ratio of the phone is 75.9% and its pixels per inch density is 367. It runs Android v5.1.1 Lollipop from the box but it should also be upgradeable to Marshmallow. The chipset used is Snapdragon 652 and it uses Quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 and quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processors.

Memory-wise, The "Samsung Galaxy A9" has 32 GB internal storage, upgradeable to 128 GB through its microSD slot, and its RAM is 3 GB. The cameras are 13 MP rear and 8 MP front and it also comes with an FM radio and a fingerprint sensor. The phone is then powered by a Li Ion 4000 mAh battery.
