The Bachelor 2016: Ben Higgins Writes About His Unexpected Reality Show Role On His Blog, Says He Is Honestly Floored

Ben Higgins has just shown the world how a 27-year-old bachelor feels being in a reality show with beautiful single ladies vying for the role of a significant other. Higgins is just sincerely blunt about him being chosen as the new Bachelor in the house on his blog post.

In high hopes of being able to choose the best woman among the roses, Higgins has probably found blogging about his thoughts and the show helpful, not to mention blogging's contribution to making "The Bachelor" show more popular.

The Entertainment Weekly suggests that the show's Season 20 could be Higgins' milestone in life as it really prompted him (for the very first time) to write a blog.

This "normal, average guy, and a software salesman from a tiny town in Indiana," as he calls himself, admits he was floored in one of the live scenes during the show's premier, calling the first meet with the 28 aspiring Mrs. Higgins as "just the first of an immeasurable amount of twists, turns, and surprises on his most unforgettable journey of his entire life."

This once-rejected by Kaitlyn Bristowe of "The Bachelorette" bachelor reveals in his blog that he thought he might be losing his mind when he met Maegan, one of the ladies, which he finds "awesome." He also felt the competition would be very hard for him when he got to see the poised, intelligent, and beautiful Olivia, admitting she really blew him away that night.

Despite his "not fun at all" comment in his interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the 6'4" Bachelor expresses his sincerity about being in the show on his blog through the People website.

"I came here to find a wife and with so much going on that night it terrified me that I might be making a mistake right then and there and sending home my future wife before I even got a chance to really know her. But I had to trust in God and that he would guide me in the right direction through this all," Ben blogged.

Ben Higgins' complete blog entry documenting his thoughts and feelings in the reality show "The Bachelor" can be read in People.com.
