Lululemon Founder Chip Wilson's Mansion 'Vancouver’s Golden Mile' Tops List of Most Expensive Properties in BC

The mansion of former CEO and founder of Lululemon Athletica Chip Wilson has claimed the top spot again in the list of the most expensive properties in British Columbia.

According to the Tri-County Sun Times, the luxury home called Vancouver's Golden Mile, which is located at 3085 Point Grey Road, is currently worth $63.87 million. The property first claimed the number one spot in 2013. Back in 2014, it was assessed $10 million lower than it is today at $54.2 million.

The Province stated that the property has a 30,000 square feet of land that includes a pool and a tennis court.

The market value of a single family home in Vancouver's East Side rose to 28 percent from $993,000 to over $1.2 million. There is a boom in Vancouver for detached houses, from high-end properties to tear-downs where most of the value is in the land. The second-highest assessment was in Vancouver's point Grey neighborhood: $57.06 million for a luxury home at 4707 Belmont Ave.

On Vancouver's west side, six more homes were evaluated between $31 million and $38 million. Mortgage holders ought to be getting their evaluations via the post office in the next few days.
