Star Wars Update: Characters Returning For Star Wars 8

The recently released "Star Wars 7" just did a great job in giving fans the feelings of being in space while doing the moonwalk. Now that "The Force Awakens" has proven its worth in the sci-fi movie mainstream, not to mention the production team's big investment on the movie, what's next?

Surely, many are delighted to the fresh, easy-to-fall-in-love-with faces of "The Force Awakens" that we couldn't blame to look forward to the characters who are coming back in Episode 8. Well, just forgive the excitement!

According to Evening Standard, Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm president, confirmed that almost all cast members will be back in the next installment including few newcomers.

"There will be a handful of new cast members in Episode VIII but also all the cast members you see here tonight will be in it as well," Kennedy shared to Bang Showbiz.

Cast members who attended the gathering a day or so before the movie releases in cinemas worldwide included Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Peter Mayhew, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Gwendoline Christie, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong'o, and Max von Sydow, the characters who are returning back to the big screens come "Star Wars Episode 8."

The big success of this "Star Wars" remake seems to have pressured Kennedy, the movie stars, and the entire the production team as the cast won't have enough break following their recent promo tour since they are set to begin filming the next installment early this year.

"We're excited to get back together. We start shooting Episode VIII in January, we've been prepping the movie for the last year and (writer-and-director) Rian Johnson has been doing an amazing job," Kennedy said.

It looks like the "Star Wars" producer herself is so excited about Episode 8 as much as fans are.

"Star Wars: Episode 8" lands on cinemas on May 26, 2017. May the force be with you then!
