Steve Nash, the point guard for NBA's Los Angeles Lakers, has reportedly put his house in Paradise Valley, Ariz., for $4.15 million.
The Los Angeles Times broke news of the listing noting that Rebecca D Ponte of Realty ONE Group was the listing agent.
Property records show that Nash purchased the house for $3.75 million in 2004, when he was with the Phoenix Suns. He had just signed on with the team after parting from the Dallas Mavericks. In July 2012, the Los Angeles Lakers acquired Nash in a "sign and trade" deal with the Suns.
Nash, currently in his final year of contract with the Lakers, could miss the whole season due to his back injury. The previous two seasons haven't been that great for the Lakers and Nash hasn't been a stellar performer either, which has been spurring rumors of a potential trade off.
"Given the Lakers' need for contributors all around the court - specifically in the backcourt - the idea that Los Angeles could potentially look to lump Nash's contract into a deal isn't beyond the realm of possibility," Jabari Davis of Basketball Insiders was quoted by Travelers Today.
"While there are no reports of any such negotiations currently, it wouldn't surprise us to hear about the Lakers and Suns at least discussing the chances of a Nash return to the Valley of the Sun so that he can retire with the organization he played the bulk of his Hall of Fame career with," he added.
