Just a year after leaving the Denver Broncos, Matt Prater is gearing up to sell his Colorado mansion. The Detroit Lions kicker just listed his six-bedroom home in Parker, Colorado for a whopping $1.3 million.
Apparently, the mansion is very lavish. According to Realtor.com, "His Colorado home packs every amenity imaginable into its 8,017 square feet."
But the biggest selling point of the home, as said by listing agent Carrie Nagel of Key Real Estate Group, would probably be the "enormous, features-packed basement."
"The basement just has anything and everything you could need," which also includes a playroom, Nagel said. Not only that, but the home also gives easy access - its new owner can walk directly to the pool, the hot tub, or the fire pit.
The upstairs of the Colorado home even boasts of even more amenities: a wine cellar, a coffee bar, and a lot of room for anyone to hang out.
Not only that, but storage space wouldn't be a problem, too! Nagel says the home has "the biggest closet you have ever seen. You can park a truck in it."
Back in 2014, Prater signed with the Lions following his dismissal from the Broncos. According to NFL, the Denver team released the 30-year-old athlete after violating the league's substance abuse policies.
"Parting ways with Matt Prater - the longest-tenured player on our roster - was a very difficult football decision," Denver Broncos general manager John Elway said in a statement.
He continued, "On behalf of our entire organization, I want to thank Matt for his seven seasons with the Broncos and wish him well going forward."
The Pro Bowler was able to revive his career - although many thought the violation would actually end it - in the Motor City. In fact, he recently set a new Lions franchise record after kicking a 59-year field goal against the Chicago Bears.
