3 Amazing Home Services Apps You Should Check Out

Looking for a home service provider to fix that window or that door or that appliance could be a headache. With the aid of technology, things can be a lot easier for those who need to connect or book a repair service.

Here are three amazing home services app that you should check out:

Jiffy On Demand Home Services

Gas services, junk removal, heating and cooling, lawn maintenance, among others -- Jiffy On Demand Home Services helps users book a home service without hassle. The company hand-picks service providers in 22 categories, taking into consideration personal recommendations and online reviews, and then connects them to the user.

"When you sign up for a service such as moving and delivery, Jiffy notifies dozens of providers in that category," explains Paul Arlin, co-founder of Jiffy, according to The Globe and Mail. Then the available provider around the area can pick up the call, just like Uber.

Jiffy is available on iOS App Store and Google Play.

HomeAdvisor

HomeAdvisor has just launched home services apps for Apple TV, Amazon Echo and Zonoff-powered connected home platforms. According to PRNewswire, users of these apps will be able to "instantly connect to local, prescreened, available home improvement and repair professionals."

For Amazon Echo or Fire TV, HomeAdvisor utilizes Amazon Alexa Skills wherein users speak to Alexa to book an appointment for home services like plumbing repairs. For Apple TV, the app uses HomeAdvisor's Instant Booking technology, while Zonoff-powered connected home devices have access to HomeAdvisor's Instant Connect. These apps will be available later this year.

This Uber-like app created by electrician-entrepreneur Sean Murphy of Winchester, Virginia aims to provide an affordable and convenient way to handle home service needs. When the user pressed "Start job," the request will be sent to the nearest provider that Murphy has pre-screened. The clock and the charge, $0.25 to $2 per minute, will only start after the user and the helper have agreed on the job.

SuperHandy is available on iOS App Store and Google Play.
