Glass House In La Jolla, CA Price Reduced To $8.8 Million

There are a lot of people that are fascinated with glass houses. The glass house in La Jolla, California is one unique structure which is now listed in the market for $8,795,000.

According to Realtor, the glass house was built by AscentX Medical founder Dr. Stefan Lemperle back in 2007. The home was already listed in the market in 2014 for $14.9 million and now it is back again with a much lower price.

The 4,347-square-foot home gives endless breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean with 62 feet of ocean frontage. The home is made in a modern architectural way. As described in the listings, the home is an "Architectural masterpiece of glass, concrete and American Walnut ceilings and cabinetry." It was designed by architect Jonathan Segal.

The whole house was designed accordingly in order to maximize the fantastic views and work on properly with its 4,000-square-foot lot. The way that Segal designed the house was more on the commercial property aspects. And with that, the house becomes more valuable because of its limited supply.

The house has four bedrooms and four full bathrooms and there is an entire floor designated for its master suite. The underground floor has its own kitchen, a theatre room and two more bedrooms. The house itself allows the owners and viewers enjoy several view decks. Impressively, the whole place is made of "superior appliances, finishes and smart home technology."

According to its listing agent, Jay Becker, someone was interested in the place but no one was willing to pay for almost $15 million to purchase the house. And at that time, Lemperle was not up for any negotiations with its selling price.

But now, Lemperle is up for a new venture and he needs to come up with bigger capital for it. That is why he relisted the place for a new price.
