An Asian-inspired penthouse in New York is growing in popularity because not only is it wonderfully designed, it also has a 30-foot waterfall inside.
Considered to be one of the largest apartments in Manhattan at the top of the Midtown, the Trump World Tower is a penthouse owned by an unnamed billionaire. The house has a total of 18,000-square-foot area with a total of six bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.
Forbes reports that the architect who renovated the area revealed some of the stunning details that he did to make the place extraordinary. The private residence was reported to be the owner's gallery for his impressive art collection and also a place for entertainment.
Architect Eran Chen, who is also the executive director of ODA New York, revealed that the three-story penthouse exposes different Asian references in its design and boasts a 30-foot marble slab waterfall. He explained that they chose a different character in different parts of the apartment to be able to express the wide range of cultural interests of the owner.
The penthouse boasts a spacious living area which has maximum seating capacity and is designed with a large goatskin rug which complements the wood flooring. The Italian style kitchen has a stainless steel La Cornue cooktop and also has an extravagant dining area. The house also features a library with its own marble fireplace, home theater, recording studio, cigar and wine room which has over 2,000 bottles and a day spa.
The master suite is decorated with neutral tones and plush linens. The furnishings of the place are mostly the vast art collection of the owner which also compliments the apartment's overall design. With a total of 16 feet of floor-to-ceiling windows, the apartment welcomes its guests with enchanting city views and a beautiful garden sculpture.
