'The Hunger Games 3: Mockingjay Part 1' Movie, Trailer & Cast: Jennifer Lawrence Says What She Wants in a Boyfriend

"The Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence revealed to the latest issue of Madame Figaro, a French publication, what she's looking for in a potential partner. The 24-year-old powerhouse celebrity revealed, via E! News, she's looking for someone who will allow her to be herself.

The "American Hustle" actress said she wants to be with someone "who allows her to be herself in all situations." She added, "Otherwise, you might as well stay single."

The star was last linked to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, the ex-husband of "Iron Man" actress Gwyneth Paltrow. The buzz on the pair's romance varies with some reporting that the pair have gone their separate ways after four months of dating while other say they split for a while but are back together.

With the privacy of her personal life being something of utmost importance to the actress, she admitted that accepting the role of Katniss Everdeen in the popular fiction trilogy took a few days.

"I hesitated for three long days before accepting 'The Hunger Games'," quoted Ace Showbiz of the actress. "I dreamed of independent films. I was afraid of being identified as such a prominent character for young people."

She further explained, "At 20, you're rarely faced with a decision that will have such an impact on your future. I wasn't sure about wanting this life. But I was afraid of one day regretting missing this opportunity. Since then, I realized that anything I do, at any level, would cause me to lose a part of my private life."

This is part of the reason why she avoids all social media platforms: "All [of] that doesn't interest me for a second!. I'm always hundreds of emails behind."

This isn't the only thing we know about J-Law and her preferences. In an earlier interview, Lawrence also spoke about her ideal man to Vanity Fair. Just last month, the star discussed relationships and what she would like in a boyfriend. The magazine summarized the top things Lawrence is looking in a boyfriend:

  • Someone who enjoys reality TV. "I would just rather have somebody that has the same taste in reality TV," admitted the actress. She listed her favorites which include "Shark Tank," "Dance Moms," Doomsday Preppers," "Intervention" and more.
  • Additionally, she wants someone who isn't afraid to let loose with bodily functions: "you know, isn't afraid to fart in front of me [rather] than to have big, passionate love" and goes on to say about being true to yourself with someone else.
  • She also says she likes a guy who can eat, doesn't like to argue and basically if possible, Larry David because "I'm in love with him, and I have been for a really long time."

See the Oscar winning actress with Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson in the "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" out Nov. 21.
