A 1920s Spanish Style Home is For Sale in Pasadena

Go back in time in a 1920s Spanish style house up for sale in Pasadena.

Priced at $569,000, the house promises a vintage and simple lifestyle to whoever stays in this property.

According to its listing site, the house includes two bedrooms and one bath. All the architectural designs were well maintained, so this brings a lot of coziness and peacefulness to the house.

The listing also mentioned that the previous owners added a little modern flare to the design and to some of the house features. Talk about stepping into a complete time machine, transporting you to the 1920s and the modern times.

The house offers space for the basic areas of the house like the living room, kitchen, and dining areas. It also has a picturesque front porch and a private deck at the back, which are perfect for events like parties and family affairs.

As mentioned in the listing, “Modern day necessities, like the new forced air heating/AC, a recently remodeled kitchen with a stainless steel refrigerator, newer appliances and a stackable washer/dryer, blend beautifully with such details as the original hardwood floors and windows, stucco walls and built-in bookcases, that graciously surround the wood burning fireplace."

Curbed Los Angeles previously reported that the property is located at the historical “Bungalow Heaven," which is the first neighborhood to be declared a Landmark District in Pasadena.

Bungalow Heaven became a subject of a new documentary called “Bungalow Heaven: Preserving a Neighborhood." The director of the documentary is filmmaker, Joaquin Montalvan. According to an article in The Craftsman Bungalow, Montalvan had lived in a Spanish Mission house style, but he wanted to live in a bungalow instead, thus the making of the documentary.

“I remember as a kid walking around barefoot on those hardwood floors and feeling the wood creaking, and the floor giving beneath me, and liking how that instability made it feel as though the house was alive. Years later, when I set out to look for a house for me and my wife, I just told the realtor – I want a porch, I want hardwood floors, and I want a fireplace. And she responded, ‘Well that’s a bungalow. You should go to Bungalow Heaven.’," shared Montalvan.
