The New York Yankees hits the homerun for the Rodriguez household, or at least former household. The ex-wife of Major League Baseball (MLB) superstar Alex Rodriguez just previously sold their waterfront property in Miami Beach.
According to The Real Deal, Cynthia Rodriguez sold their estate, which measures at 4,535 square feet, to their neighbor Diane Dreyfuss Owade. Owade paid $5.58 million for the gorgeous home. Owade owns the next door property, which stands at 7,000 square feet. Cynthia purchased the property back in 2013, which was only around $2.87 million back then.
The house was built back in the 1950s. The neighborhood itself is surrounded by water because it is located in the Palm Island. Details of the house are reported by The Real Deal.
The property houses four bedrooms and five bathrooms, and has an outstanding view of the water outside. It also has a view deck on the second floor and a grand pool outside that overlooks the ocean.
According to its listing page over at Zillow, the house also has a car parking that is fitted for two cars. It also has a patio and its own dock for boats or yachts.
Cynthia re-priced the property multiple times since she put the house on the market back in September. The original selling price was at $7.15 million, then it went down to $6.45 million, until it was sold at $5.58 million.
Cynthia and ex-husband Alex Rodriguez filed for divorce in 2011 because of Alex’s “extramarital affairs and other marital misconduct.”
Alex Rodriguez, nicknamed “A-Rod” was a 14-time MLB All-Star. Back in 2009, he admitted that he was using steroids in 2001 and 2003, after testing positive of taking performance enhancing drugs. He told ESPN, "When I arrived in Texas in 2001, I felt an enormous amount of pressure. I felt like I had all the weight of the world on top of me and I needed to perform, and perform at a high level every day." He took the enhancers while playing for the Texas Rangers.
