How Can The UK Solve Its Housing Shortage Problem When No One Can Afford Its 'Affordable' Housing Scheme?

The United Kingdom is experiencing a house shortage crisis and experts are now saying that this issue may not be resolved anytime soon because the people can't afford the "affordable" housing scheme that is being presented.

The housing shortage problem was only felt in some parts of Britain late last year but the problem grew bigger as the government found no immediate solutions to resolve it.

In previous reports, some housing developers also find it hard to provide more housing to citizens given that there are no proper locations to place the housing project and of course, the affordability of each unit was also brought up. They are businessmen. They need enough revenue to compensate for the expenses needed for the house.

It was recently reported that there are a number of abandoned houses in the UK and people may want to settle there -- if they could afford the price.

House developers and the British government have been trying to provide more affordable houses, but the citizens couldn't afford them leading them to think that this project is not really for them but only for the wealthy ones. "House builders are mainly targeting the wealthy," according to a report.

"It's not too surprising ... After all, private companies are not building houses out of the kindness of their hearts. They are doing so to make a profit," the report added.
