Apple has just released its latest smartphone, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and with that out of the way, we can now focus on what's next.
According to the Epoch Times, the upcoming iPhone will carry enhanced feature that includes a boosted 13-MP rear camera, 8-MP front-facing clicker, 2K display with 2560 x 1440p resolution and what is vastly important -- a longer battery life.
The site further claims that the iPhone 7 will go even bigger than the iPhone 6 Plus and sport a whopping 5.7-inch display screen.
The IPhone 7's outstanding features together with its much enhanced usability, largely owing to its slimmer border areas and gesture control-activation.
"Since the border areas of the phone will be slimmer, the phone's usability will skyrocket," said a report by iPhone7 Update. It further said: "The feature allows users to control the display without touching the handset."
Reletedly, the iPhone 6 was wildly rumored to use sapphire glass but due to supply issues, cost concerns or maybe the rumors just weren't accurate, some are saying the next smartphone may use the material. Epoch Times said: "...it [the new iPhone] could also come with IGZO display, or a semiconductor material called indium gallium zinc oxide."
Additionally, here are some other rumblings about what the iPhone 7 could feature:
- 3D Technology - The Christian Post floated the idea that this iPhone could have 3D display technology and the kicker is, users would be spared of wearing the cumbersome 3D glasses. The site claimed that Apple is looking at highlighting this technology and has approached TPK, its display supplier to develop iPhone 7' screen.
- Better Processor - Epoch Times recalled an earlier report by iPhone7 Update that indicated the use of a quad core A8 processor or better in the unconfirmed device. Presently the A8 processor is found in both models of the iPhone 6. This would allow users to accomplish their tasks with a snap of the fingers.
- Upgraded Memory - Apple has already changed the internal memory options for the iPhone 6. Word on the street is that the iPhone 7 could see its memory doubling to a whopping 256 GB.
The release date of the IPhone 7 is unclear, perhaps still under wraps. However, if history is any guide, Apple loyalists would most likely be seeing its release on the third quarter of 2015.
When it comes to price, Epoch shared that the iPhone 7 may have a price range that span from $649 to $849. It is unclear if those rates would or wouldn't include a carrier locked-in contract.
