'Samsung Galaxy S6' Specs, Release Date & News: New Smartphone Up For Early Launch? [Rumors]

Smartphone users looking to upgrade to the newest model of Samsung's flagship line will be happy to hear that the release for the Samsung Galaxy S6 may be moved up.

Techno Buffalo reports that after the release of the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, the Korean tech firm is already working on the specs of the S6.

Samsung's annual upgrades are typically done around the same time each year , during the month of April. Based on the earlier launches, the firm usually releases their handsets in April.

However, with the 2015 Mobile World Congress scheduled in Barcelona set to take place in March, it is believed that Samsung might be hammering down to narrow the release time line and push the new S6 by March of next year.

Not much is know about the features the Samsung Galaxy S6 will sport but according to an earlier report by

In a recent report, SamMobile via Techno Buffalo, claims that Samsung is serious about revitalizing the smartphone line with "Project Zero," that "may introduce a totally new take on Samsung's flagship smartphone lineup."

The sales for the Galaxy S5 have been less than stellar. Even with the release of the newest model of its popular S-series that brought with it high expectations, the company reported its tablet and smartphone sales have decreased.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Features

Not much is known about what specs the new device will bring. Rumors back in April claimed that the new device will have a flexible OLED display, similar to the one debuted on the Galaxy Note Edge and may sport a metal design like the ones on the Galaxy A3 and A5.

With regards to internal power, PC Advisor says it will likely carry the Android 5.0 Lollipop and probably be powered with Qualcomm's 64-bit processor and be equipped with 3 GB of RAM with 32-, 64- and 128 GB models to choose from.

PC Advisor estimates that the S6 should come with at least a 16-MP resolution back camera with optical image stabilization capacities, making it at part with the features of the Note 4. The 16-MP camera would most likely come with a 5-MP shutter in the front with the popularity of video calling and selfies.

More information should be available over the holiday season or at least after we ring in the New Year.

While nothing is official, there are a number of sites that have shared their concept design for the Samsung Galaxy S6. Below is the video of the 3G for the upcoming device:
