Retired American professional basketball player and current special assistant coach of the St. John's Red Storm Mitch Ritchmond is selling his luxurious real estate property located in a gated Calabasas community for $7.9 million.
According to Los Angeles Times, Ritchmond's real estate property has been on the market for several years. His mansion has been relisted in 2015 for $8.45 million. According to recent property records, the asking price of Ritchmond's house has been reduced to $8.25 million. It can be recalled that the Hall of Fame basketball player bought the estate a decade ago for a much lower price of $1.7 million. His property sits in more than two acres of land.
Ritchmond's house reportedly has a "reel's worth of features," which include a full-sized gym perfect for a sporty guy like him, a home theater with stadium seating, and a wine cellar with a tasting room. Celebrating his illustrious career is a separate entertainment wing where various NBA memorabilia can be seen. The area also has a curved wet bar and a game room.
The huge property also boasts a center-island kitchen, a great room and formal living and dining rooms highlighted by vaulted ceilings. There is a total of five fireplaces in the celebrity home, one of which can be found in the master suite, which also features a glass-enclosed shower and a soaking tub.
For the exteriors, there's a landscaped ground, the focal point of which is a luxurious swimming pool with a beach entry. Other lavish amenities include a raised spa, a swim-in grotto and a waterslide. "A basketball court, a fire pit, covered patios, tall palms and formal landscaping round out the resort-style setting," the report said, describing the property.
Celebrity Net Worth reports that Ritchmond has a net worth of $20 million.
