Music royalties and Hollywood’s power couple, Jay-Z and Beyonce, is said to have purchased a condo unit located at Brooklyn Heights, as reported by Curbed New York. The duo reportedly purchased a unit in a controversial park development called “Pierhouse” in Jay-Z’s hometown.
Although the rumor was going around, Barbara Wagner of Rubenstein Associates, the public relations firm representing the development, didn’t deny nor confirm the news. “I wish that I could confirm that Jay-Z and Beyonce had bought at Pierhouse but I cannot confirm that. You can publish it as a rumor," said Wagner. She later said that the rumor was not true, in which as of now, people are still speculating.
Also according to Curbed, the condo has 106 units and at least 78 of them are already in contract. It is also said to have a unit that has five bedrooms and four bathrooms, priced at $10.49 million over at StreetEasy, and which is still available, leaving some people wondering why the couple didn’t choose to get that unit. After all, they can get anything they want in a snap because they earned it.
The Carters might be all secretive about their public lives, but the rumors have already been lit up, thanks to a Brooklyn Bridge Park security guard who claims to have heard the couple talking during an evening stroll. According to the Brooklyn Paper, the security guard dropped the news at a public forum that happened in the Cadman Towers.
The price listings are believed to be $2.5 million to $10.5 million per unit in the condo. The amenities include a kids playroom, a meditation studio, valet parking, and a pool fit for the music royalty couple.
Queen B and Jay-Z just keeps on getting the cash with their music and movie careers, businesses and endorsements. According to TMZ, the Carters started to rent a mansion last year in the Holmby Hills for $150,000 a month.
