TV reality star Kendall Jenner won't be gracing this year's Victoria's Secret show because she'll be busy walking another runway in Austria.
According to the New York Post, the 18-year-old aspiring model will be joining Karl Lagerfeld in Salzburg, Austria where he will present his Metiers d'Art collection at the Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron.
The two major events will be held on the same day -- Dec. 2 -- and Jenner as well as supermodel Cara Delevingne have chosen to walk for Chanel. The site noted that both celebrities "are part of a small coterie that are high fashion as well as curvy enough to be in demand for both brands."
An insider explains that: "VS looks for curvier girls and bigger names," revealed a source for the site and added, "For most models, you either fit into one category or another."
This comes as somewhat of a surprise as Glamour Magazine reported earlier that Kendall was close to getting her angel wings. A source revealed that the step-sister of the infamous Kardashian sisters "once said her biggest dream was to be an Angel."
While the background story on how Jenner came up with the decision to choose Chanel, if being an Angel is one of her goals, it must be difficult for her to pass up such an opportunity if it was indeed offered.
Bye Bye Krazy Kardashian Klan
Yahoo! Australia reported that the fashion model is working hard to put some distance between herself and her family name in order to focus and build her career.
Apparently, the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" celebrity is pondering whether or not to move to the world's fashion capital, Paris to focus on her career. This will also result in her mother, Kris Jenner, stepping down as her momager.
"She's moved out of the family home into her own LA apartment," said a source to Grazia via Yahoo! "With [sister] Kim [Kardashian West] and Kanye [West] living there, everything felt too crazy and she's keen to scale back her involvement in the reality show.
Allegedly, Kendall doesn't appreciate the fanfare that accompanies the limelight-loving Wests.
"Kendall loves Kim but feels uncomfortable with the fanfare that accompanies her," reported Grazia. It continued: "She wants to be accepted by the industry on her own terms, which is impossible when Kim and Kanye are arriving in headline-grabbing outfits. Kim means the world to Kendall, and vice versa, but they increasingly belong in different worlds."
