Leonardo DiCaprio's Palm Springs Property Still Accepts Tenants for $4,500 a Night

73rd Golden Globe Awards Best Actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, has been renting out his Palm Springs vacation property and is asking for $4,500 a night. The 1964 modern house is located in the Old Las Palmas neighborhood and was designed for singer/actress Dinah Shore by Donald Wexler. Known celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor and Elvis Presley have stayed in the said neighborhood for some vacation time.

The "The Wolf of Wall Street" actor was said to have purchased the 1.34-acre property for $5.2 million. DiCaprio never confirmed the deal, but real estate records show that the current property owner has the same address as the actor's production company, Zillow reported.

The listing said that the Old Las Palmas property has a 7,022-square-foot main house that includes six bedrooms, 7.5 bathhouses, and a large living room that has a grand piano, a fireplace and a cocktail bar. Guests will also be enjoying the view of the majestic pool, which is beside the guest house. A tennis court, a Wi-Fi connection, and a daily maid service, are among the other facilities and services also available, LA Curbed reported.

When DiCaprio announced that he would take a break from acting back in 2013, he reportedly planned to stay in this property, although things did not go according to plan. The actor has been making movies after movies, as well as has recently seized the Best Actor in a Drama award from the 2016 Golden Globe Awards, for his latest movie, "The Revenant." The actor competed with Bryan Cranston for "Trumbo," Will Smith for "Concussion," Eddie Redmayne for "The Danish Girl," and Michael Fassbender for "Steve Jobs."

DiCaprio's acceptance speech tackled minorities of the modern world. "I want to share this award with all the First Nations peoples represented in this film and all the indigenous communities around the world. It is time that we recognize your history and that we protect your indigenous lands from corporate interests," the actor said.
