Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump has sold one of his smaller New York apartments for $14 million.
According to New York Curbed, this follows Trump's sale of his penthouse at Park Avenue during the summer; the property was priced $21 million. It was reported that the 502 Park Avenue Penthouse was originally listed for $35 million in 2013, and the price was reduced to $25 million before it was finally sold for $21 million. Now reports claim that the recently sold property in Park Avenue was one of the smaller condos that was owned by the presidential aspirant.
Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal reports that the 4,200-square-foot property that was recently sold was originally listed for $16.8 million just last month and that it was also never occupied by Trump. According to Trump's broker, the unnamed buyer plans to live in the property.
The apartment has a total of four bedrooms and features oak floors and handcrafted Italian brass doorknobs. Trump reportedly bought the building where the apartment is located in 2011 for $115 million, and then he decided to convert it into condominiums. He has another penthouse in the building which is listed for $35 million.
According to Forbes, Trump has a total estimated net worth of $4.5 billion and is now on the 72nd spot on Forbes' most powerful people. He was originally a real estate mogul before deciding on becoming a presidential hopeful after announcing his bid last June 2015.
Trump began his career at his father's real estate company which focused on middle-class rental housing around New York City. In the span of his successful business career, Trump has entered the world of Manhattan real estate and built some of the world-renowned buildings like the Trump Palace, The Trump World Tower, which is the tallest building on the East side of Manhattan, and the Trump Park Avenue.
