For travelers who have the appetite to do something different, renting yurts during their trip might be something appealing.
With the dawn of home vacation rentals also comes unique accommodation ideas travelers may love. One type of outdoor accommodation that is starting to appeal to backpackers these days is the yurt-inspired accommodation.
On Airbnb, a Mongolian yurt accommodation is listed at a rate of $136 per night. This ethnic-looking lodging home sits on the foothill in the Sierra Nevada in California. The accommodation can house up to six guests. It has two bedrooms with a total of six beds. The yurt has one-and-a-half bath.
From the exterior the yurt accommodation is just a plain white dome tent with blue accents, but the interior is bursting with colors with different styled carpeting for flooring and draperies for walls. A pool and a hot tub are available for guests to use.
Another cozy yurt rental is located in the Czech Republic. This listing is a toned down version of the Californian yurt but has wooden floors instead. The accommodation houses up to four people at $56 a night. This lodging house has a Futon-type bed. Bathroom is a few feet away from the yurt but can be used anytime. There is a small kitchen inside the tent, an induction cooker and a refrigerator in case guests want to cook something.
Meanwhile, in Virginia, a more luxurious yurt is being rented out by its owner at $185 per night. Although it has only one bedroom, this loft-type yurt can accommodate up to six guests. It has four beds.
What sets this property apart from the others is that it looks like a modern home from the inside. Also, the bathroom is found inside and not detached unlike the first two. The kitchen/dining has wooden cabinetry and stainless steel range and refrigerator. The entire yurt has hardwood flooring.
One of the most luxurious yurts is listed on Glamping Hub. This $642 a night accommodation is located in Turkey. The rent is expensive partly because it is situated at a beautiful Mediterranean Yoga retreat in the country. The yurt lodges only two people and compared to the other three, this Turkish yurt is much simpler. However, it is only 15 minutes away from the Turquoise Coast where people can enjoy a beach getaway.
