Dexter is dividing his time between California and Atlanta. His newly acquired home sits on a corner lot. The estate has eight rooms and five and a half bathrooms. The back patio of the home features stunning tile work, vaulted ceilings, and is overlooking a well-kept garden, as reported by Curbed news.
Meanwhile, the youngest son of Martin Luther King, Dexter Scott King, now 54, also listed his 6,800-square-foot Malibu mansion on the market for $4.85 million.
Dexter bought the Malibu mansion in 2006 for $4.16 million, and divides his time between Malibu and Atlanta. His Malibu home, which sits on over an acre of land in a gated community, has four bedrooms and six bathrooms.
As chairman of the King Center, Dexter is overseeing a group of historic buildings in Atlanta that operate as museums telling the story of his late father. Dexter King, who played a role portraying his father in the 2002 TV movie entitled "The Rosa Parks Story," also wrote a book about his father's slaying, entitled "Growing Up King: An Intimate Memoir."
According to a Daily Mail report, Dexter bought the well-secured mansion in Malibu, which features expansive ocean views, a two-car garage, a pool with a cabana, plus a waterfall and a koi pond.
King was the youngest of four children. He was seven years old when his famed activist father was assassinated.
