Retired NFL Punter Chris Kluwe lowered the price for his Huntington Beach home to $1,949,000 from its original price of $1.995 million. According to Realtor, Kluwe's home which is located in a gated community has been on the market since September of last year.
The two-story colonial-inspired 3,700-square-foot home has four bedrooms and four and half bathroom. Kluwe's house was built in 1998. This property for sale is spacious enough for a family room with a fireplace, formal living area, dining rooms, office and even a custom-made video game room with a 106-inch projector screen. As for its master suite, it has its own fireplace, a walk-in closet and a huge soaking tub.
The California home also features built-in shelves as well as a beautiful and well-organized chef's kitchen with granite countertops. One of the main highlights of the house is the custom-made "man cave." It was built by the DIY Network show "Man Caves" according to the specifications given by the former Minnesota Vikings kicker. The "man cave" was described as the "gamer headquarters with stadium seating, a dual gaming center and a 106-inch projector screen."
According to LA Times, the outside features of the house include a covered patio area that centers on a swimming pool. The pool has dual waterfalls and a relaxing raised spa. The area is perfect for some family time and relaxation since it also has a fire pit and a built-in barbecue.
Meanwhile, it was in 2013 when Vikings let go of Kluwe after playing for the team for eight long years. And according to Deadspin, there have been talks at that time that one of the main reasons that Vikings fired him was because of his different opinion about same-sex marriage equalities and rights.
When Kluwe was asked about it, he carefully answered, "I honestly don't know, because I'm not in those meetings with the coaches and administrative people." However, Kluwe was pretty much confident that it played a great part of it.
