Actor and director Adam Arkin who has listed his house in Studio City has found a taker for his property that has a price tag of $1 million.
In a report by Realtor.com, Arkin is not a household name as far as his acting career is concerned but he is actually a fixture in many well-received television shows like "Fargo," "Justified," "Sons of Anarchy" and "The Newsroom." He listed his 1950s ranch house in Studio City in 2015 for $1.1 million and has finally found a buyer. The property sits on land that is almost an acre big and has a sweeping vista of the canyon. Compared to other Hollywood homes, Arkin's single-story abode is small but nonetheless covers 1,791 square feet and has three bedrooms.
According to LA Times, the Arkin's Studio City home has a private road as its point of entry into the expansive property. Its 1950s ranch theme has been updated by the actor and one of its interesting features is the vaulted ceiling that exposes the beams. There is a brick fireplace that provides a beautiful and cozy appeal next to the large windows facing the canyon.
The kitchen has a built-in dining area and aside from the bedrooms, there is also an office space inside. All the walls are white and the interior space measures about 1,800 square feet. The family room opens up to a brick patio that also shares an awesome view of the canyon.
Arkin spent $590,000 in 1999 to acquire the Studio City property and has recouped his investment, earning some profit in the sale. Sotheby's International Realty listing agent Jory Burton took charge of the sale on behalf of Arkin while Deasy/Penner & Partners represented the buying party.
Arkin is best known for his part in the medical drama series "Chicago Hope" as Dr. Aaron Shutt.
