Oprah Winfrey is back on the headlines as it was reported that the network owner purchased a $25 million farm. As per the Celebrity Net Worth, Oprah dished out extra cash just for her to but the farm located beside her Montecito Estate.
As per the website, Oprah already purchased most of her neighboring estates with in the Montecito area. One of which was a $50 million 42 acre lot which she purchased back in 2011. She also bought another home on the northern part of her property for $7 million back in 2005.
Oprah has been keeping herself busy by purchasing numerous real estate properties that are being placed in the market. And her neighbor's farm is one of her most recent purchase. The 23-acre farm includes a miniature pony farm which is located in Monticeto California. The entire home is at 4,750 square feet which includes a swimming pool, both open and covered patios, horse trainer's house, stable, and a barn. The house even has a view of the Santa Ynez Mountains and it also overlooks the Pacific Ocean.
As per the website, Oprah has been eyeing the farm for several years, but the previous owner Mary Dell Olin Pritxlaff continually refused her offer. The website then added that Winfrey would go to Mrs Pritxlaff's property and have a quick chat with her. She would even give her gifts thinking that Pritxlaff would finally agree in selling her property, which didn't seem to work. Last July, Winfrey finally got a chance to purchase the farm she's been longing for. Pritxlaff passed away and her children decided to put the farm up in the market. Sage Auctions then took over and placed the property for auction last October. As per Daily Mail, Oprah finally got what she wanted after being the highest bidder for the farm's auction.
