The Playboy Mansion has been home to several beautiful women, and even more controversies. Now that the property is being sold for a massive $200 million, fans couldn't help but wonder what exactly can be found inside the huge abode.
According to Elle Décor, Playboy magazine founder and owner Hugh Hefner decided to sell the property because of his old age. What can be found in the property, other than the huge party area, the beautiful photo displays and the like, is the mansion's beautiful architecture and design.
Ever since it was first published in the magazine, the Playboy Mansion has been known for bringing together six of the world's best furniture designers. This includes George Nelson, Edward Wormley, Eero Saarinen, Harry Bertoia, Charles Eames and Jens Risom.
When it comes to the mansion's interior, the bachelor pad has been one of its well-known designs.
"One of Playboy's favorite subjects is how to live the ultimate single guy life. But instead of focusing exclusively on girls and parties, the magazine used interiors to demonstrate their point. In 1962, they published an uber stylish townhouse with a modern for the time round bed, indoor pool, and swanky living area - ideal digs for a modern man," the publication noted.
Meanwhile, the Playboy Mansion is also home to a wide range of entertainment rooms, mid-century gems and a whole lot more.
In other news, according to NPR, whoever will purchase the Playboy Mansion will have the opportunity to own a total of 29 rooms and more. However, the mansion also comes with a slew of controversies including jealousies and attacks among the Playboy Bunnies, sex and drug use rumors during some of Hefner's parties and even sexual assault.
During a previous interview, the 89-year-old tycoon said that he decided to cut down on the number of bunnies he has at home because he wants to focus more on quality rather than quantity.
