San Francisco Real Estate: Spacious Bernal Heights Home Is Available for $2.48M

A newly renovated home in Bernal Heights, San Francisco is listed for $2.48million.

In Bernal Heights, homes are not exactly big. However, the newly remodeled home along 1669 Alabama Street has a floor area of a little over 3,000 square feet and is being sold at a price of $2.48million, according to Curbed SF.

A few years ago, the same house was sold at $835,000 but it was a much smaller space then. It only had a floor area of 1,205 square feet. The report assumed that the new owner may have extended the home downwards creating the lower level space into bedrooms and baths.

After the renovation, the home features a total of four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The exterior of the house, although painted gray to give that modern vibe, still has touches of the 1900 original façade. The color of the outside, however, indicates the kind of interior expected from the home.

The Bernal Heights property has nothing but contemporary interiors. The three-storey home has a combination of white and gray walls with a hardwood flooring all throughout. In some areas of the house the floor is adorned with carpets with geometric shapes, adding contemporary vibe to the space.

A little bit of retro-touch is added with some of the furniture inside, especially the color of the couches in the family room, located at the upper level of the house. Four bedrooms, including the master suite, are found in the lower level while one bedroom and a bathroom are on the main level.

The home's stunning interior is overshadowed by an even more stunning backyard/garden and roof deck, Redfin wrote. The roof deck, with low wooden walls and wooden floors, extends from the family room. On the other hand, the living room is separated from a porch which has stairs leading to a modern-looking balcony with big dark tiles, a fire pit, built-in chairs and a plant box.
