The famed restaurateur is the force behind Gramercy Tavern, Union Square Café, and The Modern, among others.
Danny Meyer owns Union Square Events, and is considered to operate the yet-to-be-named space on the top floor of the former One Chase Manhattan Building. The Chinese conglomerate, Fosun International, purchased the office tower for $725 million in 2013, and will be spending another $150 million in renovations.
The 60th floor of the tower was the bank's conference center and dining floor, which features 15-foot ceilings and all-around windows with 360-degree views.
The restaurant will not be "open" to the public. It will only serve office tenants as well as will be a catering and events place. Reps for Meyer didn't make any response to requests, while a spokesman for both Fosun and JLL, George Shea, declined to comment, according to the New York Post's report.

According to The Real Deal, the top floor of the former One Chase Manhattan Plaza tower was once a conference center and dining room for the executives of the bank. The wide-open hall features 360-degree views of the surrounding area.
The investment firm Fosun International is going to spend another $150 million for renovations of the 2.2-million-square-feet building. The plan that was approved in August by the Landmarks Preservation Commission is to replace the street-level façade of the building with glass panes, and will have an addition of 200,000 square feet of retail space from the fifth floor to the ground level.
Last December, Guo Changchang, chairman of Fuson International, has been detained by Chinese authorities, but he has been released.
