After sharing her home remodeling project with her Instagram followers, reality star Kourtney Kardashian shared some tips on how she organizes her home.
The mother of three has always expressed her love for decorating and fixing up homes. In an interview with Vogue, she revealed that she loves staying at home despite being busy filming for their reality show, "Keeping up with the Kardashians," and also helping run their fashion store, Dash. She is also currently working on her lifestyle website and app where she shares some tips in maintaining a beautiful and child-friendly place for the family.
Kardashian revealed that when she feels overwhelmed or stressed out, she usually prefers to clean out her closets or organize her home because it makes her feel that she is more in control of her life. The very first tip she gave on organizing is to fix everything in the closet by category. She explained that everything should have its own place. She suggests organizing clothes into different categories, while for shoes, she said it's best to group all the flats together and keep the heels in a separate storage.
Kardashian also said that if arranging things can be overwhelming, it is best to enlist a friend to clean up your closet. She said that this friend should be someone whose opinion really matters to you so they can help put things into perspective, like suggesting what needs to be let go or kept.
In other parts of the home, Kardashian suggests using built-in drawer dividers in the kitchen or in the closet so that things won't be left on the counters. She also said that she doesn't want appliances to just be placed anywhere, so she makes sure that all of them are in one area. Lastly, she suggests buying organizers which go well with the house décor or the furniture.
