Home Security Company Introduces New Security System for First-Time Homeowners, Home Renters

A new home security company recently launched a security system that is designed exclusively for first-time homeowners and home renters. The GetSafe Home Security Starter Kit is a DIY security system that offers a completely fresh take on home security. It was also revealed that GetSafe is unlike regular security systems, a report from Benzinga.com stated.

Kevin Magna, General Manager of GetSafe, said, "We wanted to rethink home security and build a system for the way people live today."

Magna's statement means that unlike traditional security systems, GetSafe is controlled via your smartphone. This has completely eliminated the ugly control panel hidden somewhere in a closet acting as the nerve center in common home systems.

"In a mobile-friendly world, you shouldn't have to run to a keypad and punch in a security code every time you enter or exit your home," Magna explained.

Another great thing about GetSafe is that it provides more flexibility to users through a simple monthly subscription. There are no long term contracts binding you from security companies.

Alan Wu, Marketing Manager for GetSafe said, "If you offer good service, you shouldn't need to lock the customer into a contract."

Using GetSafe is easy. It is a DIY wireless system that uses peel and stick tape for mounting. There is no need to hire an expert to install GetSafe. There is no need to run wires in between walls and panels which is ideal for home renters. GetSafe is also portable; renters can simply take it with them when they move.

"We want our customers to stay with us for life," Wu also said. "So we designed a system that you can take with you when you move, and change as your home changes."

The GetSafe Starter Kit sells for $249 and includes door or window sensors and a motion detector. The kit also includes professional security monitoring for a monthly fee of $29 and is expandable should they wish to add more security equipment. Expect additional items in the starter kit soon such as an optional video camera and a smoke/CO2 detector. This system is compatible with Nest Thermostats.
