The anticipation for Colin Trevorrow's "Jurassic World" continuously builds up as the movie nears its release on June 12, 2015, more than 2 decades after the release of the 1993 original.
The teaser for the official trailer has been released by Universal Studios, getting the audience excited about the sequel film.
The teaser is just a glipmse of the official trailer which is set to be released Thursday, just in time for Thanksgiving and football. The excitement of once again seeing these dinosaurs jump across the fields of Jurassic Park coupled with John Williams score could give the audience a trip back to the original film.
CinemaBlend says that the 2015 release roots from many other previous target production dates. Steven Spielberg marked 2009 as a possible option while Joe Johnston picked January 2013 to be the best date for the 4th installment's release. Universal, however, officially settled for June 2015 and to date, this hasn't changed yet.
The director's story is not very different. The talks on who to handle Jurassic World landed Universal to a variety of choices including the originals -- Spielberg for the first and second films, and Johnston for the third installment.
Spielberg, however, had no intentions of coming back. Johnston, on the other hand, decided to pass on the chance and gave the opportunity to others. Needless to say, Universal eventually landed on Colin Trevorrow.
Chris Pratt is the main cast of "Jurassic World." The rugged lead star, probably one of the busiest men in the entertainment industry nowadays, was deemed worthy of investment. Pratt's acting chops were showcased in several movies including "The Delivery Man" (co-starring Vince Vaughn), "Zero Dark Thirty," "The LEGO Movie" (as the voice of Emmet), and "Guardians of the Galaxy" as Star-Lord.
"Jurassic World" will also feature the charing Bryce Dallas-Howard who will need to meet the viewers' expectation of greatness following the grand performances of her predecessors -- Tea Leoni, Julianne Moore, and Laura Dern.
JoBlo earlier reported of a possible plot for the upcoming film, saying:
"JURASSIC PARK 4 will take place back on Isla Nublar with a fully operational dinosaur theme park (I'm sure no expense was spared) that's both prosperous and safe, until a new dinosaur figures out a way to wreak havoc, causing the use of the now tamed Velociraptors (and T-Rex? Unclear) as a means to fighting the threat."
