Celebrity Home Listings: Tennis Star Lindsay Davenport Sells Laguna Beach Home for $2.8M

Lindsay Davenport, former top-ranked tennis player, was able to sell her Laguna Beach property at $2.8 million.

Davenport's home at the guard-gated Emerald Bay was sold for an exact amount of $2.835 million, OC Register reported. The property, with three bedrooms, is located at a corner lot. This traditional home has an open floor.

This Laguna Beach home was originally listed by the tennis star for $3.25 million in June of 2015, the LA Times noted. However in September, the price dropped down to $3.1 million. This 2,134 square feet property was originally built in the 1950s and was bought by Davenport in 2000.

The ranch-style one-story home has three bedrooms and two baths, plus a living and dining area. It has vaulted cathedral ceilings and hardwood flooring. A brick fireplace can be found in the living room. The kitchen is equipped with commercial-grade appliances and custom-made cabinets, plus a center island, which doubles as an eat-in area. The home also includes a family room with a fireplace and an office space. The two bathrooms are modest in size

The sliding door from the dining room opens to a patio with tiled floors. This leads to a grass lawn, where a brick fountain is located. Another fountain, including a car garage, is found at the entrance of the home.

The gated community offers the use of the swimming pools, and volleyball and tennis courts. The neighborhood also has its own private park which residents could enjoy and the seaside is accessible from the property.

Apart from putting it in the market, Davenport also has the house leased last year for a price of $8,000 per month. This property was listed under HOM Sotheby's International Realty under agent Harold Noriega. The unnamed buyer's agent was Surterre Properties' Brad Trager.

Davenport and her husband, Jon Leach, owns another home in Laguna Beach.
