An astonishing Indian castle fit for a maharaja has taken the top spot in TripAdvisor's 2016 Travelers' Choice Awards, accepting sparkling surveys from visitors who gave it good grades and were unrestrained with their acclaim.
In the fourteenth version of the travel site's Travelers' Choice Awards, the Umaid Bhawan Palace was named the hotel of 2016, with a five out of five bubble rating among its 840 visitors.
Constructed more than 15 years somewhere around 1928 and 1943 after its namesake, the Maharaja Umaid Singh, the palatial lodging is actually fit for an Indian ruler, as the sprawling property is the central living arrangement of the Jodhpur royalty.
A structural mix of western and eastern configuration, the stately, brilliant sandstone landmark includes a 32m-high vault roused by the European Renaissance and Art Deco impacts, while lines of segments and towers are reminiscent of the Rajput legacy.
