How to Know if the House Buyer is Ready to Own a House or Just Window Shopping

Securing your own home can be compared to having a relationship. You are either committed or you are not. It is! and whether you are an agent who is trying to get a client for your listings, or a home shopper, It would be good to know what your stance are when it comes to owning a house so at least, you would be aware. As for agents you get to know the people you're supposed to be dealing with.

Here are some of the red flags and good signs of those who are 'would be' house buyers:

People who keeps going to open houses. Open houses is a good base for a first start when shopping for a home, but serious buyers would progress to getting an agent afterwards. However, those who keeps going to open houses is a different story. Also, serious buyers would bring close family and friends over to see the house they are in love with.

Seeing the house more than twice but still not committing to buy is another sign of red flag. You've seen it, what else would you want to see that you haven't seen considering you've seen the house more than twice? True house buyers would already be asking real questions owning a house regarding financing and etcetera.

If you have not been able to decide on any houses to get in over a month, then consider looking into houses a hobby, because it will not be more than that if you're serious of getting a real place. A real buyer when they see a good one, will already have pulled the trigger.

It's also a red flag being agent less. As was mentioned in the 3rd paragraph, agent less buyers gives you the idea that may just want to it alone, but it's actually trying to veer away from the pressure of being actually offered the house. Real buyers would already be looking for one on one appointments with an agent and would already have been prepared financially for the next step of owning a house.
