A Very Ambitious Gungahlin Development Will Bring Its Residence Novelty Experience

A new development in Gungahlin will boasts of amenities like an infinity pool and "sky park" on its sixth floor.

Future residents of this new development will be treated to what seems to be like a great holiday. According to Domain, the two Infinity Towers that will house these novelty features will make up two thirds of the $250 million Central Park Gungahlin complex. The project was given a green light in November and once completed, it will be the territories highest residential building attraction.

The first two towers, together, will have a mix of 426 one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units housed above the commercial space at the ground floor. There will be a third tower but it will be launched sometime in the future.

According to Domain, Peter Micalos, Gecon general manager of development said that the first 22-floor tower would have a sixth-level 4000-square-metre "Sky Park" that will have a 20-metre long infinity pool suspended 20 meters above the ground and overseeing Yerrabi Pond. The tower will also have a space for with landscaping, a barbecue area, a gymnasium and an exercise track.

Micalos said, "It's an unprecedented level of amenity; it hasn't been done before in Canberra. We're not talking about a little rooftop courtyard - we're talking about a sky park."

The project was approved just right before the mandate that limits all other new structures Gungahlin at 23 meters was imposed. Therefore, once the project has been completed the tallest of the towers will be 70 meters high, and will be the highest building in Canberra next to Telstra Tower.

Speaking of the building as both a residential and commercial location, Geocon managing director Nick Georgalis said, "It really has a multitude of uses and it's going to be open to whoever wants to open business there."
