Celebrity Real Estate: Charlie Puth Buys an LA Home for $1.9M

After hitting 1.3 billion YouTube views last year, and counting, songster Charlie Puth is moving to a new L.A. home this first quarter of 2016. The 24-year-old performer recently announced on Twitter that he has moved to Los Angeles.

Puth bought the home for $1.9 million in mid-December. Beautifully located in the Whitley Heights neighborhood of the Hollywood Hills, the new four-bedroom house has a beautiful city view. Built in 1954, the Mediterranean-style home has had updates over the years.

The home has great features of vaulted ceilings, dark hardwood floors, and an updated kitchen. It has an open floor plan that flows across the spacious area of 4,000 plus square feet. The backside of the home's top level opens onto a large terrace with city views, as reported by PageSix.

The lower level of the home where the spiral staircase starts up to the upper levels is where visitors and close friends are entertained. You will also find in the lower level a saltwater pool and spa, as well as a second kitchen and a bedroom that can be used as a recording area. The first full-length album of Charlie Puth entitled "Nine Track Mind," is scheduled for release on Jan. 29.

The 24-year-old singer appeared in the Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2011, as a budding YouTube star. He was signed to Ellen's eleveneleven record label before advancing to Atlantic Records. His "See You Again" song with Wiz Khalifa has hit 1.3 billion YouTube views last year.

Since the success of Puth and Khalifa's track, largely in part as it was in commemoration of the late Paul Walker as it also appears in the original soundtrack of "Fast and Furious 7," they have achieved a record sale of four million singles, three Grammy Award nominations, and 12 weeks being at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Puth has done enough to carve his own image, according to NJ news.

Meanwhile, the Berklee College of Music graduate's sultry single "Marvin Gaye," which features pop star Meghan Trainor, boasts 178 million listens on streaming giant Spotify, and about 200 million plays on YouTube.
