Andrew Morello, from Sydney, Australia, is not like other guys his age.
According to News, he was able to stash up $50,000 from various after school jobs and instead of thinking about spending it the way people his age normally would, he began planning how to build his personal wealth. Without financial aid from his parents, who are both Italian immigrants, Morello bought his first one-bedroom property in North Melbourne for more or less $300,000, where he was still living with them.
Getting inspiration from lessons handed down by his parents, who worked hard then buying one property after another, at age 20, Morello bought his second property that is an apartment in Moonee Ponds. He said, "I think the biggest piece of advice my father probably told me was 'it's not the money you earn, it's the money you save."
He added, "I literally worked for $5 a day in dad's service station. I grew up pumping petrol. But I left the family business when I was 14 because my father refused to pay me anymore. I used to get more in tips than I got from my dad!"
According to News, he had worked different jobs until he won a $10,000 government grant to start an under 18's event company. He got into real estate career in his early 20s until he stumbled across the idea of reality TV. Morello recalls one of his clients advising him to try out for "The Apprentice." He won without expecting it and since then, he had been head of business development at Yellow Brick Road, a wealth management firm run by Mark Bouris, "The Apprentice" host.
Now, at the young age of 29, Andrew Morello already has nine properties in his portfolio and aims to help young aspiring individuals become financially successful. He has released an e-book, The Morello Matrix, an e-book guide to property investment, which aims to guide individuals when it comes to property investment.
