Paris Hilton took night clubbing to a whole new level when she commissioned the creation of her own private club right inside her house in Beverly Hills. While many people saw this as another one of the hotel heiress' outrageous splurges, what she did inspired many homeowners to look at their own properties and see where they can build their very own entertainment spaces.
According to The Wall Street Journal, having a private entertainment area at home is not a new concept to luxury real estate. From home theaters to mini bars, there is very little that homeowners with money will not do in order to give the ultimate entertainment experience to friends and family members. And having a real life night club at home is just the latest trend in luxurious home design, sweeping the moneyed population of America.
Rick Wilson and his wife Stephanie are part of that demographic. On the day that Rick turned 45, the couple decided to host a party and they both agreed that a nightclub would be the perfect venue. But instead of going out, they invited all 50 of their friends and family members to their 11,000-square-foot home where 3,000-square-foot of the entire area was converted into a "private night club."
Meanwhile, in a post by The Telegraph, luxury home design often involves taking an ordinary house feature such as the home theater and turning it up a notch like making a full-scale cinema room inside a mansion. Not too long ago, having a private movie viewing space was a perk often reserved for celebrities and for people who work in the film industry like directors and editors. Today, it has become a regular fixture in many homes especially those that are classified as luxurious real estate.
