TMZ reported that Carey and James Packer have just leased a mansion in The Oaks which is a fancy community in Calabasas. Sources claim that the 18,000-square-foot property has an astonishing lease price of $250,000 a month.
According to E! Online, the mansion is fully equipped with a sauna, a home movie theater and its own gym. It was also reported that the location of the residence has phenomenal views of the area. Aside from the Kardashian clan, other celebrities are also situated in the community. The site reported that the property was never on the market until now, and the lease has an option to buy.
According to the site, Carey opted to rent the place rather than purchasing it because she and her fiancé wanted a place in a family-friendly area, considering she has twins with her former husband, Nick Cannon. Carey and Cannon got married on April 30, 2008, and Carey gave birth to their twins on April 30, 2011. By August 2014, Cannon confirmed their separation and filed for divorce on Dec. 12, 2014. Leasing agent Emil Hartoonian from The Agency talked with Daily Mail and revealed that the couple was also looking for a place that can offer privacy and a place where they can raise a family.
