- Geometric patterns are in. As Style At Home reported, one of the 2016 kitchen designs include the incorporation of geometric patterns. You can create an accent wall with geometric tiles or a hexagonal backsplash. Patterned hardwood and geometric-shaped tiles flooring will also be a great choice.
- Slim countertops. Thick marble and butcher block slabs will be taking a break this year. Instead, contemporary kitchens will now be built with thin countertops for a sleek appearance.
- More texture. Texture will come into play in 2016 kitchen designs. Raw wood cabinets and rough stone surfaces will be the rage in 2016 kitchen designs.
