The Sony Playsation 4 (PS4) game console is reportedly $130 cheaper than Microsoft's Xbox One in China, said WPDang.com. Microsoft, however, got ahead of Sony in penetrating the domestic market by releasing the Xbox One first in China.
Microsoft thought they were on top of their game but little did they know that Sony also had some tricks up their sleeve. Sony partnered discreetly with various domestic firms like Oriental Pearl Chinese in May. The Asia-based company was responsible for bringing the software and hardware components in China after the launch of PS4.
Sony broke the silence after 5 months to announce that its China group had submitted an application for a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with regards to the PS4 being launched in Shanghai according to PCgames.com.
Despite Microsoft being ahead in the market, Sony had a steady pace and a strategy that upped their game versus their competitor. The PlayStation-maker had a step-by-step process in promoting the PS4 as opposed to having the impression that it was rushed just to get ahead in the race.
The information listed on the National Bank suggests that the tentative listing price of the PS4 would be 2999 yuan ($488.05) based from Sina.com. Not to mention that at the said price the PS4 is already a licensed version.
The Xbox One, on the other hand, costs 4333 yuan ($705.00) for the base model alone, but with the Kinect motion sensor, it rises up to 5039 yuan ($820.00) as stated by Kotaku.com.
