Home Expert Tips: 'Property Brothers' Star Gives Simple Home Hacks in Beautifying Your Home

After HGTV renewed their show for another season, Jonathan Scott gave simple home hacks that will make any home look fabulous. Pop Sugar talked to the "Property Brothers" host and he revealed that making any home beautiful is very easy.

His very first tip is to mount a reclaimed-wood feature wall. He explained that this product is amazing because it not only adds style to the bedroom, but it is also very easy to install. The item has an adhesive on the back, and all that needs to be done is cut the boards and stick it on the wall. The rustic piece gives a stylish vibe to any room.

Scott also advised homeowners to refurbish hardware, especially in old houses. He explained that even small fixes can make a significant change on the look of the house. People would always opt to change doorknobs, but Scott explained that sometimes using just Magic Eraser and giving the item a scrub can make it look phenomenal again. He added that if an item adds character to the room, it should not be replaced.

Scott also said that it is important to paint the front door, and he explained that it shows the personality of the homeowner. He suggested finding a paint color that is bold and something that suits the homeowner's personality.

Lastly, he said that before thinking about decorating the house, always think like a guest. He explained that it is important to view the house with a fresh set of eyes, and anything that catches the attention must be looked into immediately.

Meanwhile, The Wrap reports that HGTV ordered 52 episodes for "Property Brothers" this season. Scott is joined by his twin brother Drew in the show, and it focuses on helping families buy homes and turn it into their dream houses. The new season will premiere on Feb. 17 on HGTV.
